Itsu is a food company focussed on asian inspired food. They are revolutionizing the world of fast food with a unique concept that combines health, speed and adventurous flavors. In quarter 2 of 2024 itsu reached out to Crocodile, asking them for help by promoting a new product. Since Crocodile already helped itsu with campaigns before, we were delighted to take on this challenge again!

bao’buns
ASIAN INSPIRED FOOD WITH ITSU
This year itsu was releasing a new asion inspired treat, bao’buns. Our job was to let the dutch market get to know these itsu bao’buns. With this campaign for itsu we targeted the busy, health-conscious consumer who values not only what they eat, but also how it is presented and prepared. Our key message was that itsu is not just a meal, it is a real experience. Itsu is on a mission to share delicious, healthy, Asian-inspired food with as many people as possible. And with this campaign Crocodile was able to create the awareness itsu desired.
The
Influencers
For this campaign we decided to use eight food-influencers, who were all a perfect match with itsu. We wanted to focus on either people who had experience with making food related content or people who are typical persona’s for the high-paced busy. lifers itsu is focussing on. Examples of creators we used are Pien Laat Haar Eten Zien and Amijé van der Laan, for both already the second collaboration with itsu. The creators all made a recipe or inspirational video with the bao’buns focussing on how easy and quickly the products can be prepared. Most important was to encourage people to try out the itsu bao’buns.
RESULTS
Organically the video’s already reached up to 450.000 views. However, we decided to boost the video’s to reach an even higher amount of views. There was limited budget available and we used a lot of micro influencers but were able to reach up to 5 million views for this campaign. Both itsu and Crocodile are very happy with the results of this campaign especially looking at the interaction between creators and followers we saw online (likes, comments, saves).
