OLA – We gaan raket nu

OLA requested a campaign revolving around their famous ‘Raketje’ ice lolly, aiming to put a smile on everyone’s face during the Dutch summer holidays in the midst of the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic.

‘Raketje’ is everywhere and is so well known that it connects and binds us Dutch people. The ice lolly is sold at festivals, on the street, even at campsites. And for this campaign, by using music, we tapped into an even deeper connection.

Target audience
An interesting combination: traditional Dutch folk and urban music fans.

Who else, but folk singer Gerard Joling and rapper Poke?

The song ‘We gaan raket nu’ is ultimately summery, catchy, and happy. It is also great to dance to. We produced the music and video clip ourselves.

Gerard has visited radio stations Qmusic and Radio 538. He has also appeared on the late night Dutch talk show ‘Beau’. The video clip premiered on the entertainment and lifestyle show RTL Boulevard, and the song has been used in hundreds of TikTok videos.
