After a successful partnership with ADE and GVB last year, Crocodile was invited back to collaborate again for this year’s ADE. The goal: to spotlight ADE’s essential partnership with GVB, a crucial player in ensuring smooth transport throughout the festival. Crocodile’s brief was to develop a creative concept that would highlight this partnership in a way that resonates with Gen Z and early Millennials, creating impactful engagement on social media.

BEATS IN TRANSIT
Building on last year’s successful concept, we aimed to take it to the next level by creating an even more immersive experience. Once again, we used the sounds of the city to craft unique beats, but this year, we added a live twist. We worked with producer Tantu Beats (known for producing Europapa), he shared his produced beat and people were able to comment and win an exclusive session with him. We placed Tantu Beats on the tram, mixing beats in real time as the tram moved through the city. Firstly this was an intimate session with the winners of the social media post and after that 25 ADE Lab holders were invited to the tram for a masterclass and party. This setup allowed people to watch Tantu Beats in action, enjoy live music, and join an unexpected party, all while riding through the center of Amsterdam.

A key element of this campaign was finding the perfect person to bring our concept to life. As mentioned we worked with Tantu Beats, a producer known for his innovative video content, where he transforms everyday sounds into captivating beats. His unique ability to incorporate the sounds of the tram, including iconic GVB tones, allowed him to craft a new beat that resonates seamlessly with the essence of ADE.

We’re thrilled with how this campaign turned out, the energy on the tram was fantastic! Riders were genuinely excited to hop on board, and the buzz extended beyond the streets. The campaign also attracted significant media attention, with multiple platforms covering it and sharing the story ((3FM, 3 voor 12, Humberto Tan).
